Passed away on April 16th, 2025. Dearly loved husband to Beryl (Dec). Much loved father and father-in-law to Donna & Tim and Kylie-Ann & Bruce. Cherished grandad to Ailish.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Stawell St Patrick’s Church on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 at 12.00pm.
Deepest sympathy to percys family. I will always have fond memorues of percy from our karate days. His kundness and patience will never be forgitten. May god enfold his arms around you as you teach that karate school in heaven.
To Donna and Kylie-Ann. My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. I will shed many tears today. He was a great man. As Kylie-Ann will recall from our blue belt grading way back in 1983…that moment changed my life forever. I will forever be indebted to Percy for being a major influence in my life and always a mentor. I always looked forward to visiting him ( and Beryl ) whenever I came back to Stawell and every year at Melbourne camps and gradings. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to say farewell but found out too late. Percy- you will forever be in my memory. Good bye my friend. Owen (chuck)
I just read this today and I’m deeply saddened to read of Percy’s passing. He was not only my Sensei but also a mentor and a second father to me. Under his guidance, I achieved my 1st Dan black belt, a milestone I will always cherish. His teachings went far beyond karate; he instilled in me the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance, shaping who I am today. Percy’s influence extended far beyond the dojo, and his impact on me and all of his students in Stawell and beyond is immeasurable.
To Donna and Kylie-Ann, my heartfelt condolences to you both. Percy was an incredible man who touched so many lives, and he will always be remembered with fondness and respect.
